Toddler Two Program:

Provides stimulating, physically safe, clean and healthful environment. The program provides an emotionally warm and supportive atmosphere.

The teachers provide a curriculum full of sensory, motor and social experiences, allowing for interpersonal relationships with other children and adults. The teacher initiated fun activities promote positive self-esteem and independence.

Children learn from play activities. Activity, motor involvement and play are essential in developing a child's language abilities. Therefore, teacher and child directed play are an important part of our program.

Three Year Old Preschool Program:

Provides a stimulating and fun learning environment where children can explore, learn and interact with the world around them.

Children seek, discover, assimilate and act upon new ideas and concepts as they are introduced by our Early Childhood Educators.

Our program has a strong emphasis on language development and socialization.

Activities in art, music, language development, creative movement, dramatic play and cognitive development are all incorporated into Circle Time lessons and activity centers.

Four Year Old Program:

Focuses on the total social, emotional, physical, intellectual and cognitive development of the child.

Activity centers are used to encourage children to explore, touch, manipulate and experiment in small groups that accommodate a wide range of developmental interests and abilities.

Enjoyable teacher directed activities teach the alphabet, shapes, colors, numbers and other basic readiness skills. Music, art and seasonal activities are regularly integrated into the curriculum. Occasional Field Trips are planned to provide further enrichment.

Kindergarten Program:

Allows for a developmentally appropriate balance between academic instruction and time to explore hand-on activities in learning centers.

Our curriculum includes all academic areas: Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, Language Arts and Reading Readiness.

The core of our Language Arts curriculum is a reading program called "Beginning To Read, Write and Listen."

Our Kindergarten mathematics program is called "Everyday Mathematics". Everyday Mathematics is the curriculum used in the Timberlane school district, and will allow children going into the first grade a head start in the math program.

The Kindergarten classroom also has a Acts of Kindness Program that is implemented at the start of each school year. This was started to encourage the children to use acts of kindness in their daily life. From picking up fallen supplies, waiting patiently or using kind words to one another. These acts will be reinforced daily by their teachers in their special program. Weekly classroom newsletters inform parents of current activities.

Evaluations and conferences are scheduled twice a year, however teachers are always available to schedule a conference anytime there is a concern.

Both Half Day and Full Day Kindergarten are offered.

Also included are:

Circle Time
Kindermusik
Language Enrichment
Creative Expression
Computer Centers
